The Lucia keeps its frame on the outside — you can see the whole structure, four tapered legs and a stretcher, in a warm brown. The upholstery is just two pieces: a rounded back panel and a softly shaped seat, both in a flecked oatmeal.

That openness is the point. A chair you can see through takes up less room than one you can't, which is what lets you put six around a table in a space that only really wanted four.
